Job Summary

This is advanced professional-level accounting work specializing in the maintenance of project and grant accounting and financial records. The position requires a strong understanding and application of accounting principles and financial management practices, developed through education, training, and substantial professional experience The role involves frequent interaction with internal departments, external partners, auditors, and granting agencies, requiring courtesy, tact, and effectiveness in providing information, resolving questions, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. Work is guided by established policies, grant agreements, and accounting standards, while also requiring sound judgment to develop solutions and improve processes for managing project and grant funds.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field AND
  • 4 years of progressive experience in accounting, grant administration, or project accounting OR
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Knowledge of federal grant compliance, Oracle and/or Propworks experience, Experience in government-funded environment and CPA eligible or planning to pursue CPA certification

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.
  • Florida Class E Driver’s License may be required and must be maintained.
