Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. Three years of experience in the implementation and/or maintenance of computerized financial, accounting, or computerized business systems are required. Additional experience on year for year basis may substitute for the required education. Applicants qualifying for employment with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department will be subject to extensive security screening, including but not limited to fingerprint checks, employment verification and such other procedures as may be mandated by federal law. The security clearance required by the federal law is a continuing condition of employment.

The Aviation Business Systems Specialist supports the Real Estate Management Division by managing and analyzing financial systems to ensure accurate revenue capture and compliance with agreements. This role includes auditing contracts, creating and updating billing rules, validating invoices, producing financial and operational reports, and assisting with the cleanup of bill rules and maintenance of agreements. Additionally, the role requires attention to detail, analytical and auditing skills, in-depth knowledge of Prop works, financial systems, and databases, the ability to work with large and complex data sets, the ability to interpret complex contracts, and the ability to make independent decisions to maintain revenue integrity regarding bill rule applicability. Collaboration is encouraged; thus, employees in this position must be able to work effectively with peers from different divisions.
